Getting Started
We get it. Working with new software probably isn't fun. You just want to get shit done, but now you need to learn how.
Truckware has decided not to reinvent the wheel. Our user interface follows familiar patterns you're used to from most applications on the web. In situations where we do things a little differently, we will provide simple and straightforward guidance, and encourage users to let us know otherwise by contacting us at support@truckware.co.
Who You Are, and How You Know
If you're logged into our application at truckware.app, you are our customer, and you can find your Account information by clicking on the cog in the upper right.
You can edit all your information here, with the exception of the Driver Cell Phone. This number is assigned to your account by Truckware. It is the singular phone number that you can give to your drivers, so that they text their daily job ticket images there, rather than to you.
What You'll Find in the Nav Bar
Across the top of your screen are clickable links that will take you to various screens in the app. Here, we will simply provide an overview of each, with more details available in separate articles.
Dashboard
The Dashboard provides some statistics we think you might find interesting and useful. It gives you some information, at a glance, from which you may want to take action. It's a little bare right now, but with feedback, we will add more data and actions.
If there's something you'd like to see in the dashboard, please contact us at support@truckware.co!
Customers
Customers are companies that hire you to provide trucks for jobs. Clicking on Customers will take you to a list of your customers, where you can view and edit their information. You can also add new customers from here. Learn more about this page here.
Jobs
Jobs are locations where you send your drivers to haul stuff. Clicking on Jobs will take you to a list of all jobs, where you can view and edit their information. You can also add new jobs for customers, or deactivate old ones from here.
To add a new job, you will need to create the customer first.
Additionally, for any given job, you can view its tickets or take other related actions, like creating invoices or certified payroll.
Brokers
Brokers are other carriers or truck owners who's trucks and drivers you may send to your customers' jobs. Clicking on Brokers will take you to a list of brokers, where you can view and edit their information. You can also add new brokers from here.
Trucks
These are the trucks you manage, and likely own. It's important to know that these are the number of trucks that impact your monthly billing. You are billed for the number of these trucks which have at least one ticket in an given month.

Broker Statements
If you use brokered trucks on jobs, and need to create broker statements, here's where you can do so. Clicking on Broker Statements will take you to a page where you can create new broker statements, and view or add/remove tickets on existing ones.
Payrolls
If you need to generate payroll statements for your drivers, here's where you can do so. Clicking on Payrolls will take you to a page where you can create new payroll statements, and view or add/remove tickets on existing ones.
Images
This is why you use Truckware! Or at least a major reason. Rather than your drivers texting you images of their daily job tickets, they will text the images to your Driver Cell Phone number, which you found in your Account information at the top of this article.
When the driver sends a text with an image, it shows up here. The number next to the Images link tells you how many new images have been sent. These are waiting to be turned into actual tickets.
|
NOTICE! Before you can turn images into tickets, the relevant Customers, Jobs, Brokers, Trucks, and Drivers must already have been created first. |
Clicking on Images takes you to a list of all unprocessed images. From here, you can click an image, where our AI will extract as much information as it can, in order to make your job of creating the tickets easier. More on that, in another help article.
Once you've turned an image into a ticket, it will no longer appear in this list.
Light Mode or Dark Mode
The fancy looking button between the cog and the profile circle on the upper right will enable you to toggle your user interface between Light mode and Dark mode. Leave this on System, if you want it to just follow whatever mode your browser is in.
Seriously, just try it out. It's easier than trying to explain it.
Profile
Finally, clicking on that circle in the upper far right will allow you to view and edit your user profile. This includes things like your profile image, and your password.
That's it. We hope you find our application time and hassle-saving. Please provide any and all feedback to us. You can do so by contacting us at support@truckware.co!
